LA Galaxy Clobber Chivas USA ( 3-1 )

The weather changed quickly from an 85 degree hot Saturday to a cold and misty evening where the LAG got busy and pulled out the GoatBusters!

The LA Galaxy game on Saturday night was great as Landon Donovan scored his first goal of the season (see photo below from my season seats). Landon picked up some trash from a missed defensive play.

Robby Findley did much better this game as he had more confidence in the second half. Findley had been acting afraid to try to take the defense one-on-one, but once he got over that fear, he learned he has the speed to pass most of them. I predict that he’ll learn to connect with putting the ball in the middle to Landon on his breakaways next game.

Kevin Harmse put in a beauty later in the game (see photo below from my season seats). He looks to become a solid player for the LAG.

Peter Vaegas game in towards the last 15 minutes and played well. But, the crowd pleaser was Cobi Jones who came in during the last 10 minutes and out the nail in the coffin by scoring the third goal of the game off a breakaway pass from Donovan.

LA Galaxy Home Opener - Grilling with George Foreman

I kicked off the Los Angeles Galaxy Home Opener last Thursday, April 12th (a late post I know) with the George Foreman Grill. Wow, this thing is great - my first time using it. I recommend the Farmer John Louisiana Hot Links.

The game started out well for the Los Angeles Galaxy with a lot of good ball control and passing. unfortunately, there were NO decent shots on goal.

Cobi still looks strong and will finish the season in style. Nathan Sturgis is doing just fine in the back field and I have high hopes for him this year. Landon is still trying to gel with Nate Jaqua and Nate did a good job being were the ball was all night.

All of this wasn't enough though to cause frustration and a loss to FC Dallas.

As this picture from my camera shows, Landon looks a little upset as the second half kick off is about to start.

Robbie Findley, draft pick from Oregon State scored the first goal of the season for the LAG, but lets give him a golf clap as he needs to learn to pass more once he's on the ball. Good corner kick Landon!
