Is Beckham Destined for the Los Angeles Galaxy?
With Beckham's removal from the English National Team (as captain) and his diminished stature at Real Madrid, the pot is brewing again (as it has once a month for the past few months) that Beckham may be ready to come to the MLS.The Los Angeles Galaxy seems to be the team he'd come to since he's a Hollywood type and his wife has been caught searching for homes here in LA, but can the Los Angeles Galaxy GM (Alexi) make it happen?
As a Galaxy fan I've personally seen Alexi makes some bad calls and will he let Beckham slip by? Having Beckham replace Pete in the middle would be an interesting site - serving Landon and Quavas up front while partnering with Santino - nice! I can see it now.
With the MLS Designated Player Rule in place, it can happen..

Beckham isn't coming in 2007, he's still going to try to save face after the back and forth with the most recent re-upping with Real Madrid.
Hey, have you seen recent pictures of Beckham's wife? She's a cross between a few Hollywood stars. She'd be right at home here in LA.

I agree with crackingup1....this story is years old. Check out this article from USA Today from May 30, 2005
"Conquest of USA beckons to Beckham"
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/soccer/world/
2005-05-30-beckham-america_x.htm
Here's a snippet:
"Still, perhaps the Beckhamization of America won't truly be complete until later this decade when he moves to New York or Los Angeles and suits up for Major League Soccer's MetroStars or Galaxy. That prospect may not be as preposterous as it sounds, as both Beckham and MLS officials acknowledged Monday. Not any time soon, mind you. If Beckham, 30, joins a league such as the MLS, now in its 10th season, it would be at the twilight of his career, well after his contract expires with Real Madrid, his Spanish club, in two years."
